Pre-Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities: The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities is inviting applications for Pre-Matric Scholarships.

The students who have 40% or above disability and pursuing 9th or 10th standard can avail the opportunity.

Pre-Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities 2022

This scholarship was introduced by the Government of India to support disabled students who are pursuing 9th & 10th classes in the country.

Funded by the Government of India under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. More than 20,000 students are getting benefited from the scholarship every year. And around 25000+ scholarships are getting renewed yearly.

The application process was started for the Pre-Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities. Interested candidates can submit the application form on the official website of the National Scholarship Portal.

The selected candidates will get benefits of Monthly Allowance, Books & Stationary Allowance, and Disability allowances.

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates must meet the following conditions to apply for the scholarship.

  • The applicant must be pursuing 9th or 10th standard in any of the recognized schools
  • He/ She must be a regular student to the school
  • Must have at least 40% disability & the necessasry documents are required to submitted at the time of application
  • The annual income of the family must not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/-

Benefits of Pre-Matric Scholarship

  • Maintenance Allowance of Rs. 800/- per year for hostellers
  • Maintenance Allowance of Rs. 500/- per year for day scholars
  • Book Grant Allowance of Rs. 1000/- per year for Hostellers & Day Scholars
