National Scholarship Portal (NSP) 2022-2023: The “National Scholarship Portal” is a solitary platform for all the State & Central Government Scholarship Schemes.

These scholarships are divided into 3 categories

• Central Schemes (17 Scholarships)
• UGC Schemes (4 Scholarships)
• State Schemes (66 Scholarships)

So, there are 87 scholarships on the National Scholarship Portal that a student can access.

There are a few eligibility criteria for each scholarship that the applicant must fulfill.

In this article, we have provided the details of all 87 scholarships including the application procedure.

National Scholarship Portal (NSP) 2022-2023

The National Scholarship Portal is operated by the “Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology“, Govt. of India. All the schemes in the NSP are funded by the state and central governments under various welfare departments.

This is the one-stop solution for students who are seeking scholarships. From the application process to the disbursement of the scholarship, everything will be done on this portal.

1. Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minorities

The Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minorities is instigated in the year 2006 to encourage parents from minority communities to send their children to the school.

This scheme is organized by the Ministry of Minority Affairs (MOMA), Govt. of India.

Eligible candidates will be benefited from tuition fees and maintenance allowances.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Only minority community students are eligible
• The student must be studying between classes 1 to 10
• The annual income of the family should be less than Rs. 1 Lakh from all sources
• Eligible minority communities are as follows
  • Muslims
  • Christians
  • Sikhs
  • Buddhists
  • Parsis
• Must have passed the previous year with at least 50% marks

Benefits:

Admission & Tuition Fee:

Admission Fee for Class VI to X (Day Scholars & Hostellers)	Rs. 500/- per year
Tuition Fee for Class VI to X (Day Scholars & Hostellers)	Rs. 350/- per month

Maintenance Allowances:

Classes I to V (Day Scholars)	Rs. 100/- per month
Classes VI to X (Day Scholars)	Rs. 100/- per month
Classes VI to X (Hostellers)	Rs. 600/- per month

Note: The monthly stipend is provided for only 10 months in an academic year.

2. Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities 2022-2023

The Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities is applicable for 11th & 12th class students from minority categories.

This scheme is offered by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.

More than 5 lakh students are applying for the scheme every year.

Shortlisted candidates will get Admission Fee, Tuition Fee & Maintenance Allowance.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicant must belong to minority community only (Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Parsis)
• The student must be pursuing 11th or 12th standard
• The family’s annual income should be less than Rs. 2,00,000/- (Two Lakh Rupees)
• Candidates pursuing 11th or 12th-level technical & vocational courses can also apply for the scheme

Benefits:

The beneficiaries will get Admission amount, tuition fee & maintenance allowances

3. Merit cum Means Scholarship for Professional & Technical Courses

The Merit cum Means Scholarship for Professional & Technical Courses is applicable to Minority community students. This scheme was organized by National Scholarship Portal under the Ministry of Minority Affairs.

The aim of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to minority community students who are willing to pursue professional and technical courses.

Every year a total of 60000 scholarships are given under this scheme.

The last date for submitting the application for the academic year 2022-2023 will be on 30th November 2022.

So, interested candidates can go through the below-given eligibility criteria and apply online.

Eligibility:

• The applicant must belong to the minority community
• Must have scored at least 50% in the previous academic session
• The annual income of the family must not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh

The following categories come under the minority section,

• Muslims
• Christians
• Buddhists
• Sikhs
• Jains
• Zoroastrians

Benefits:

• The tuition fee of Rs. 20,000/- per annum or the actual fee (whichever is lesser) will be provided
• A monthly stipend of Rs. 1000/- will be provided for the hostellers and Rs. 500/- for day scholars
• There are 85 listed institutions, a full course fee will be provided if the student is placed in those listed institutions.

4. Pre-Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

The scheme is introduced to benefit the physically challenged students of 9th and 10th classes. Students who have 40 & or above disabilities are eligible to apply for the scheme.

Eligibility:

The applicant must fulfill the following eligibility factors to apply for the scheme.

• The student must be studying 9th or 10th standard in any of the recognized schools (Government/ Private)
• Students with 40% or more disabilities are eligible
• The annual income of the family must be less than 2.5 lakh from all the sources

Scholarship Benefits:

For Day Scholars:

Maintenance Allowances	Rs. 500/- per month
Book Grant	Rs. 1000/- per year

For Hostellers:

Maintenance Allowances	Rs. 800/- per month
Book Grant	Rs. 1000/- per year

Disability Allowances:
