IBPS PO Exam 2020: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is soon going to release the notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officers.
The IBPS PO Exam is an annual recurring examination conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection in favor of multiple banks.
More than 20 banks across the country participate in this recruitment. The selected candidates in the IBPS Exam will be allotted to any of the participated banks.
The IBPS PO notification for the year 2020 is expected to be released in the month of August.

IBPS PO Exam 2020
Every year, more than 20 lakh aspirants take their examination for over 4500+ posts. The recruitment process generally starts in the mid of the year and ends at the beginning of the next year.
The selection process is carried out in three stages Preliminary Exam, Mains, and the Final Interview.
This year, we may expect the notification for 4500+ posts (tentative).

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must pass the graduation/ equivalent degree from any of the recognized universities
- Candidates having the following citizenship are eligible
- Indian Citizenship
- The subject of Bhutan or Nepal
- The Tibetian Refugee permanently settled in India
- The age limit of the applicants is 20 to 30 Years (Age relaxation is applicable for few categories)
Age Limit & Relaxation
The minimum age of the applicant must be 20 years and the maximum is 30 Years.
Apart from this, there are some relaxations given to SC, ST & PWD Categories. Below table gives the category wise age relaxations.

The IBPS exam is conducted in three stages

Prelims Exam Pattern:
The preliminary exam of IBPS PO is of objective type. It consists of 100 questions and each question carries 1 mark.
The syllabus of the prelims paper is from three subjects Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability, and English Language. The duration of 20 minuted is allotted to each subject.

Mains Exam Pattern:
The mains exam of IBPS PO is a combination of objective & descriptive type questions. The total duration of the exam is 3 Hr. 30 minutes.
The total no. of objective type questions is 155 & the there are 2 descriptive type. The mains exam is conducted for 225 marks.

Descriptive Type Exam Pattern:
There are only 2 questions in this segment which carry 25 marks. The time given for the descriptive type is 30 minutes.
The candidates have to participate in Letter writing & Essay writing iin this segment.
IBPS PO Final Interview
The candidates who cleared the Prelims & Mains exams are invited for the final Interview round. The interview will be conducted by the panel of the respective bank.
Generally, the officials of the respective bank interview the candidates for 15 to 20 minutes. The interview round carries 100 marks.
