UPSC has released the Exam Schedule for the upcoming Civils Exam to be held in the year 2021. The below table gives you clear information on the Exam Schedule.
The selection process is carried out in 3 stages
- Preliminary Examination
- Mains Examination
- Interview (Personality Test)
Prelims Exam Pattern:
- All are objective type questions
- Contains 2 papers, General Studies Paper 1 & General Studies Paper 2
- Each paper carries 200 marks
- So the prelims exam is conducted for 400 marks
- Questions are set in Hindi and English
Mains Exam Pattern:
- Mains Exam pattern is different from the prelims exam
- All are descriptive type questions
- Mains exam has a total of 9 papers and carries 1750 marks
