SSC CHSL Recruitment 2020 (Apply at ssc.nic.in)
The Staff Selection Commission has released a fresh notification for the recruitment of various posts to fill the vacancies in the Government organizations.
This notification is to fill the 4893 posts in various offices of the Government of India. Go through the detailed notification given in the below section.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidates have to fulfill all the eligibility factors provided in the below section.
Educational Qualification:
- The applicant must have passed 12th class from any of the recognized University/ Board
- For the Data Entry Operator Post, the candidate must pass the 12th class in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject
Citizenship:
- The applicant must be a citizen of India (or) a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before the 1st of Jan 1962.
- A candidate of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern
The recruitment process is carried out in 3 stageS Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III.
Tier-I Exam:
This is a Computer Based Test (CBT), the total marks for the exam are 200 and the duration is limited to 1 Hour. An additional 20 minutes is allowed for the candidates who are eligible for the scribes.

Note: There will be negative marking in this section. 0.5 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Tier-II Exam:
The second level exam (Tier-II) is a completely descriptive type exam.
Total Marks: The maximum marks for the SSC CHSL Tier-II Exam are 100.
Exam Duration: The candidates are allowed to write the exam in 1 hour, however, an additional 20 minutes will be given for the candidates who are eligible for the scribes.
The candidates have to write the exam in a pen and paper mode. There is an Essay Writing wich is of 200 to 250 words and a Letter witing of 150 to 200 words.
The candidate must score at least 33% percent marks to qualify the Tier-II Examination.
Accepted Language: Candidates can write in either English or in Hindi.
Note: The candidates are allowed to choose any one language to write the whole exam. Using multiple languages to write the exam will lead to the disqualification of the exam.
Tier-III Exam:
This is the final examination of the recruitment process. Those who are qualified in the Tier-I & Tier-II will be allowed to take the Skill Test/ Typing Test in the Third Stage.
This test is conducted at the Regional Offices of the Commission. It is mandatory to attend the Skill Test/ Typing Test.
Data Entry Speed: The candidates must enter the data with the speed of 8,000 Key Depressions per hour on Computer.
Typing Test: A printed material which is of 2000 to 2200 key-depressions will be given to each candidate to enter in the computer.

- The candidates have to pay an amount of Rs. 100/- towards the application fee
- The application fee can be paid through the online mobe by using any of the payment methods. (Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, Visa, Rupay)
- The candidates can also pay through the offline mode by generating a challan at any of the SBI banks

SSC CHSL Recruitment Application Process
The applications are accepted through online mode only. Candidates have to submit their application at the official website of the Staff Selection Commission https://ssc.nic.in.
Note: The candidates are not allowed to apply through the offline mode.
The step by step procedure for online application has been given below.
- Go to the official portal of the Staff Selection Commission (Visit Here)
- On the top right of the home page, you will find the Apply button, click on it.
- You will find a series of tabs (CGL, CHSL, STENO, JE, CAPF, etc.,)
- Click on the CHSL tab (as shown in the below screenshot)
- You will find the Apply Now button under the tab, click on it
- A registration page opens and asking for basic details
- Enter your Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Email ID, and hit the Submit button
- You will receive a Registration ID to your Mobile Number
- Log in to the page using the Registration ID and Password
- Fill the remaining fields and upload the necessary documents
- Cross-check the details entered and hit the submit button
- Now, you are redirected to the payment page
- You have two options to finish this segment. Either you can pay online or offline
- Online Mode: Click on the payment and pay the registration fee using any of the payment methods (as mentioned in the above section)
- Offline Mode: Download the challan and pay the fee at SBI Bank on the given dates
- Now you are done with the registration process
