DCE Scholarship 2020: The Department of Collegiate Education (DCE) holds various scholarships for the students of Kerala State. There are 15+ scholarships under this portal including Pre-Matric & Post-Matric.

Now, let us go through the details of each scholarship.
1. Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities
The students who belong to minority categories and pursuing the above 10th class can apply for the scheme “Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities“.
The shortlisted students will get a tuition fee waiver and the maintenance allowances.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The applicant must belong to any of the following minority community
- Muslim
- Christian
- Buddhists
- Sikh
- Zoroastrians or Parsis
- Must have passed 10th standard and admitted into 11th or above classes
- The applicants must score at least 50% marks in the previous examination
- The annual income of the family must not exceed Rs. 2 lakh from all sources
- The students who are availing the benefits of other scholarships are not eligible to apply
- Only 2 students from a single-family are eligible to apply

2. Post-Matric Scholarship for Disabilities
The students with 40% or above disability and pursuing above class 10th are eligible for this scheme.
Interested students can check the eligibility factors and apply online at NSP‘s website.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must have an Indian Citizenship
- The scholarship is applicable to students with disabilities with 40% or above and having a valid disability certificate
- Only two students are eligible to apply from a single family
- The candidates who are benefiting from other scholarships are not eligible
- The family’s annual income should not cross Rs. 2.5 Lakh

3. DCE State Merit Scholarship (SMS)
The State Merit Scholarship is offered by the Department of Collegiate Education (DCE), Government of Kerala. The aim of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to meritorious students.
A qualifying examination is conducted for the applicants and the scholarship will be provided to the 300 Graduate Students and 150 PG Students.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The applicant must be pursuing 1st year of either Graduation or Post Graduation in any of the recognized universities
- Must qualify the eligibility test with at least 50% marks
- The annual income of the family must be less than Rs. 1 Lakh from all sources

4. DCE Central Sector Scholarship (CSS)
The Central Sector Scholarship (CSS) is offered by the Department of Collegiate Education, Kerala. The students who passed the 12th or equivalent with 80% or above marks are eligible for this scheme.
The selected candidates are given a scholarship of Rs. 1000/- to Rs. 2000/- per month
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must have passed the 12th standard or equivalent with at least 80% marks
- The annual income of the family should be less than Rs. 8 Lakh from all sources

Note: The scholarship amount is provided for a period of 10 months in a year.
Which means the Graduation student will get a maximum of Rs. 10,000/- per year. The PG Students will get upto Rs. 20,000/- per year.

5. District Merit Scholarship (DMS)
The students who score A plus in the SSLC examination and willing to pursue higher education are eligible for this scheme.
The District Merit Scholarship is offered by the Government of Kerala under the Department of Collegiate Education.
The shortlisted students will get a scholarship amount of Rs. 1250/- per annum.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a domicile of Kerala State
- The student must have passed SSLC exam conducted by the Board of Public Examinations, Kerala
- Must have scored A plus in the SSLC Exam
- The candidate must have admitted into Higher Secondary or equivalent course

6. DCE Sanskrit Scholarship
The students of Kerala pursuing UG & PG courses with Sanskrit as one of the subjects can apply for Sanskrit Scholarship. This scheme is offered by the Government of Kerala under the Department of Collegiate Education (DCE).
The shortlisted students get a scholarship of Rs. 200/- per month.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate must be a domicile of Kerala State
- Must be pursuing UG or PG courses with Sanskrit is one of the subjects
- Priority is given for the students who took Sanskrit as the main subject
